What our loft conversions customers say

Real reviews, word for word, from Google and from our Facebook group.

I recently had my attic converted and I’m very happy with the results. The team was professional, punctual, and kept everything clean throughout the project. The workmanship is excellent, with great attention to detail, and the finished space is bright, comfortable, and exactly what I wanted. Communication was clear from start to finish, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. I would highly recommend their service to anyone thinking about an attic conversion.

Hi everyone

Just posting about my experience with Ivo and Tina so far.

Im currently in the process of having some major work (full renovation and decorating etc.) undertaken by Ivo and his team. They are nothing short of fantastic and so far are doing an amazing job.

Everything from the start has been professional and easy. I’ve had challenges in the past with getting someone to come and even look at the work that was required yet Ivo was prompt and stuck to his word. Communication has been great and I’ve been kept fully up to date with progress.

I have had many scepticisms about carrying out substantial works but Ivo really has taken the stress away and in all honesty I have been able to be relatively hands off as he is very experienced and knows what he’s doing, and in fact makes even better suggestions/recommendations to what I’d initially thought and highlighted things that I may have overlooked.

To describe them in a few words: honest, reliable, reasonable and quality. A big thanks to the team that I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with and meeting which so far includes: Ivo, Tina, Rosco, Anthony and Ivan.

The project is not complete yet however I’m fully confident that the end result will be perfect and I will post pictures soon.

I will be using Ivo and his team again and would fully recommend them to anyone who wants a very hassle free quality service.

Thanks!

Types of loft conversion

The simplest kind. The roof shape stays the same and roof windows bring in the light.

A dormer adds head height and floor space, and suits many terraces and semis.

  • Loft bedrooms with en-suite

A bedroom and shower room together, where the pipework allows.

  • Home offices and playrooms

A quiet room away from the rest of the house.

Loft conversions in Manchester: types, cost and what to expect

Which loft conversion suits your house?

A roof window loft conversion works when the loft is already tall enough. A dormer loft conversion adds head height and floor space and suits most terraces and semis. Hip-to-gable conversions are common on 1930s semis in Prestwich, Whitefield and Radcliffe. We tell you honestly which one your roof can take.

Loft conversion cost in Manchester

Our loft conversions start from Β£1,200 per square metre as a guide, excluding VAT. A dormer costs more than roof windows because the roof itself changes, and adding a bathroom adds to the figure. You get a free written quote after we have seen the loft.

Living at home during the work

A loft conversion is one of the least disruptive ways to add space. Most of the early work happens on the scaffold and inside the roof, and the stairs go in near the end. Most families stay at home throughout.

A real room, not just a converted attic

We finish what we start: plastering, flooring, decorating and, if you want one, an en-suite. That is the difference between a loft conversion company and a builder who leaves you to find the trades.

Loft conversions across Greater Manchester

We convert lofts in Manchester and across Greater Manchester. Victorian and Edwardian terraces in Bolton, Bury and Oldham often have generous roof space. 1930s semis in Prestwich, Whitefield and Radcliffe are well suited to dormer conversions. We also convert lofts in Wigan, Salford, Warrington and Liverpool.

What affects the cost of loft conversions in Manchester

The cost of a loft conversion depends on the type, the size of the loft, the stairs and whether you add a bathroom. A dormer costs more than a roof window conversion because the roof itself changes. We look at your loft and give you a free quote.

How long loft conversions takes

Timing depends on the type of conversion. Most of the early work happens from the outside and inside the loft, so the rest of your home stays usable for much of the job.

  • Do I need planning permission for a loft conversion?

Many loft conversions do not, but some do. It depends on your property and the design. Your local council's planning team gives the final answer, and we talk it through with you.

  • Can you add a bathroom up there?

Often, yes. It depends on where the existing pipes run. We do plumbing and bathrooms too, so it can all be part of the same job.

Building work makes dust, but we protect your home, keep the site tidy and clean up before we leave.
