House extensions: what we take care of

Need a bigger kitchen, another bedroom, or room for the family to spread out? An extension gives you the space and keeps you in the home and street you already like. We build it and finish the inside too, so the new room is ready to use and not just a shell.

Because we also do kitchens, flooring, plastering and decorating, you deal with one team for everything. We build extensions in Manchester, Radcliffe, Bury, Bolton, Oldham and nearby.

Why choose us for house extensions

  • Built and finished by one team

The same people lay the foundations, plaster the walls and paint the ceiling.

  • A room that belongs

We match bricks, roof and windows so the new part looks like it was always there.

  • Ready to use

Flooring, electrics, heating and decorating are included, so you get a room and not a shell.

Types of extension we build

  • Single-storey rear extensions

The most popular way to gain a bigger kitchen or family room.

  • Side-return extensions

Ideal for terraced houses, turning a narrow alley into usable space.

  • Kitchen-diner extensions

An open room for cooking, eating and living, with doors onto the garden.

  • Porches and smaller additions

Extra space at the front door, built in brick to match the house.

House extensions across Greater Manchester

We build extensions across Manchester and the surrounding towns. Terraces in Bolton, Wigan and Oldham often suit a rear or side-return extension. Semis in Bury, Prestwich, Whitefield and Radcliffe usually have room to go out at the back. Estate houses in Warrington and Salford can often be extended to the side.

What our house extensions customers say

Real reviews, word for word, from Google and from our Facebook group.

I recently had an extension completed on my home and I’m really pleased with the result. The team were professional, reliable, and easy to communicate with throughout the whole process, keeping me informed at every stage. The quality of the workmanship is excellent, with great attention to detail, and the new space blends perfectly with the existing property. They worked efficiently, kept everything tidy, and delivered a finish that exceeded my expectations.

Our interactions have exceeded expectations

When we started our journey towards a more comfortable home for our family, initially we were hesitating with other ideas such as moving to a larger home, or knocking down and rebuilding. But we loved our home and didn’t want to incur unnecessary costs and inconveniences, so going for a second storey was the best solution. We looked at other builders in market and they were not treating our needs or budget with enough consideration. With IVANOV FULL RENOVATION HOUSE FAMILY BUSINESS , we knew from the beginning that we were heard, and that the team would be capable of designing and building our dream home on time and within budget. From our initial conversations with the architect through to those with the carpenter and all the specialist trades, our interactions have exceeded expectations and I can’t recommend IVANOV FULL RENOVATION HOUSE FAMILY BUSINESS enough to our friends."

I would highly recommend IVANOV FULL RENOVATION HOUSE FAMILY BUSINESS

Right from the first contact they were professional and easy to deal with. The designer added a lot of value giving us more functionality and storage plus improved the look /appeal of our addition from the street. The building team were very courteous but most importantly very good. The site was left clean and tidy at the end of each day and rubbish was removed. The job was finished as per the contract price and on time without any defects. We have since had very heavy rain and storms and have no problems at all. One small problem was ill-fitting fly screens but when we raised this with IVANOV FULL RENOVATION HOUSE FAMILY BUSINESS Addition they organised for the fly screens to be replaced. If you are looking to stay in your home and just need to add a couple of extra bedrooms/bathrooms then I would highly recommend IVANOV FULL RENOVATION HOUSE FAMILY BUSINESS Additions. It has made such a difference to our lives.

Ivanov and his team are an absolute pleasure to work with. So far they have renovated 3 of my bedrooms and more work including extension is in-progress. Their friendly demeanor makes the entire process enjoyable, and they consistently arrive on time, ensuring that the project stays on track. Ivanov’s hard work and dedication are evident in the quality of their craftsmanship. Most importantly, they genuinely care about their customers, going above and beyond to meet our needs. Glad I chose them, πŸ’― recommended!

House extensions in Manchester: your questions answered

  • Do I need planning permission for an extension?

Some extensions need it and some do not. It depends on the size, the position and your property. Your local council's planning team gives the final answer, and we are happy to talk it through at the visit.

  • Will the extension match my house?

That is the aim. We choose bricks, roof finish and windows to sit well with what is already there, and we show you the options first.

  • Can you fit the kitchen in the new space too?

Yes. We fit kitchens, lay floors and decorate, so the extension and everything inside it can be one job.

  • How long does an extension take?

It depends on the size and on what goes inside. Once we have seen your home and know what you want, we give you a realistic idea of timing with your quote.

  • Do you build extensions outside Manchester?

Yes. We build extensions in Radcliffe, Bury, Bolton, Oldham, Wigan, Salford, Warrington and Liverpool as well as Manchester.

  • Do extensions need building regulations approval?

Most extensions do. Building control checks the structure, insulation and safety as the work goes on. We talk you through what your project is likely to need.

Often done at the same time

One team does all of these, so you can combine them into a single job.
